Contract is the rendering of chauffeur services by Sixt Egypt for the customer. This will be accomplished by the rental of drivers with respectively without vehicle after receiving an order by the customer. The service delivery can be accomplished by Sixt Egypt itself – with own drivers and vehicles – or by reliable suppliers

Obligations to be fulfilled with every service

  1. Sixt Egypt is going to transport the top management and all guests of the customer in a safe manner and with high standard
  2. Sixt Egypt is going to comply especially with the following aspects:
    • Employment of drivers who are subject to local social insurance contributions
    • Employment of at least bilingual drivers (local language and one additional language to a reasonable standard)
    • Smart appearance of the drivers (suit, shirt and tie or ladies’ suit);
    • Good manners, e.g. that the chauffeur takes the guest’s luggage off and gives him or her the advantage
    • The driver opens the door of the vehicle for the guest, stores away his or her luggage and acts with reserve regarding a conversation to sense if the guest wants to be let alone
    • Frequent safe driving trainings
    • Ensuring of confidentiality
    • Local knowledge of the drivers
    • Well maintained vehicles, from the exterior as well as from the interior
    • Hands-free-headset for the mobile phone, which will only be used in case of emergency and then very restricted to not disturb the guest
    • Non-smoking-vehicles
    • Every driver receives at least the local minimum wage

Family-owned and operated since 1912

  1. Sixt Egypt is going to fulfil the objects of contract with its own personnel or with subcontractors or brokers. The customer has no claim that Sixt Egypt only employs Sixt Egypt staff to fulfill services for the customer
  2. Sixt Egypt holds the required official permission to realize the services and is liable according to legal requirements for damages caused during a service that can be assigned to the Sixt Egypt driver
  3. Sixt Egypt will assign rest periods to the employed drivers according to local legal requirements

Sixt Egypt employees

  1. Sixt Egypt is obligated to employ only qualified drivers for the requested services. If the customer assesses one of the Sixt Egypt employees as negligent, Sixt Egypt is not going to employ these employees for the customer’s orders any more if possible
  2. Sixt Egypt obligates its employees to deliver items that were left in the vehicle by a guest as soon as possible after co-ordination with the customer

Accomplishment of individual contracts

  1. The customer is going to order every single service via Call Centre, email or web application at Sixt Egypt. Every order has to contain at least the following information:
    • Service start (date, time)
    • Pick up location and drop destination
    • name of the guest
    • number of guests
    • vehicle type
    • number of large pieces of luggage
    • Extra products requested in car such as entertainment and refreshments
  2. Sixt Egypt is going to process the orders shortly after receiving them and will confirm the service via telephone or email. When the customer receives the confirmation, the individual contract is accomplished.
  3. Should Sixt Egypt in an exceptional case not be able to fulfill an order, it is going to inform the customer immediately. If the service is ordered by the customer 48 hours prior to service pick up time, Sixt Egypt is going to arrange an alternative transportation for the customer and take care that the alternative company and its drivers comply to the terms of this contract.
  4. For all cases which are not regulated by this contract apply the terms and conditions of On Road Tours Sixt and El Mohr Car Trading, Egypt

Liability

  1. Sixt Egypt is liable according to legal regulations for all damages, which are caused by Sixt Egypt or its employees at performance of task

Insurance

  1. The Sixt Egypt vehicles are covered by a Collison Damage Waiver (CDW) vehicle insurance only. Insurance covering personal injury and property damages for each and every occurrence with a sub limit is not provided, however this insurance over can be provided if requested with additional cost to be provided to the customer with a separate Appendix

Confidentiality / data protection

  1. No information Sixt Egypt gains about the customer, his employees and partners during performance of task must be communicated to any third party. The information on the customer must only be used when it is necessary to render services properly
  2. Sixt Egypt and its employees are obligated not to make any information on the customer public or available to third parties

Prices/ billing

  1. At the end of every rendered service, Sixt Egypt is going to invoice that service and send it to the customer
  2. A set-off of claims from the customer is not possible, insofar as the claim is undoubted or legal. Furthermore, there is no exercise of the right of retention in case of undoubted or legal claims from Sixt Egypt
  3. Orders, which are already confirmed by Sixt Egypt, can be canceled until up to two hours before the driver leaves the Sixt Egypt garage in order to drive to the guest via email, SMS or phone call. If the customer does not adhere to that term or does a guest not appear within 30 minutes after confirmed service start, Sixt Egypt has the right to invoice that service at 100%
  4. Orders, which comprise a requested amount of five vehicles or more at one location, can be canceled until up to 24 hours before the original service start via email or telefax. If the customer does not adhere to that term or do the guests not appear within 30 minutes after confirmed service start, Sixt Egypt has the right to invoice that service at 100%

General information

  1. Types of vehicles
    When hereinafter is referred to types of vehicles, this reference is for one of these categories:
    • Category Economy: Vehicles in this category are equivalent to Peugeot 301, Mitsubishi Lancer, Renault Fluence, Subaru Impreza
    • Category Business Sedan: Vehicles in this category are equivalent to a Subaru Legacy
    • Category First Class Sedan: Vehicles in this category are equivalent to a Mercedes E class
    • Category Luxury Sedan: Vehicles in this category are equivalent to a Mercedes-Benz S-class 500
    • Category SUV: Vehicles in this category are equivalent to a Dodge Durango
    • Category Van: Vehicles in this category are equivalent to a Chrysler Town & Country

Services

  1. Transfers
    • Sixt offers transfers within these cities, in which Sixt operates a branch for chauffeur services. Sixt also offers airport transfers to and from the airports in the respective cities and the respective city area
    • Only services without any stopovers can be calculated as transfer services. Does the guest want to make a stop in between; the service will be settled according to company policy
  2. Services within city areas (standby)
    • Sixt offers standby services within these cities, in which Sixt operates a branch for chauffeur services. For services within that respective city area and for that respective city tariff, the city area must not be left.
    • A standby service within city areas is hereby defined as a service lasting several hours. The route can include several destinations and waiting times for the driver.
    • The invoice amount calculation is based on the service duration. The duration of the service starts already when the driver leaves the Sixt location, which is in charge for the order. The duration of the service ends when the driver returns to the respective Sixt location
  3. Additional costs
    • The driver’s journey to and from the places where he collects or drops off the guest and the being in position early, with possible waiting time, is included in the price
    • The calculation for the standby services is based on the service duration. The service does already start, when the driver leaves the Sixt branch for chauffeurs services and ends, when the driver returns to the Sixt branch after he dropped off the guest. In addition to the driver’s journey to and from the places where he collects or drops off the guest, waiting times will also be calculated
